JetLink uses an API of superurl (owned by me) which has a database that associates the long url with a short url. When a user tries to access the short url, the browser will instantly redirect to the original page (long url). JetLink uses the "301 redirect" response, which is better than "302 redirect" for SEO. A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect that passes between 90-99% of link equity to the redirected page. 301 refers to the HTTP status code for this type of redirect. In most instances, the 301 redirect is the best method for implementing redirects on a website.
